The tee shot on the first involves a slight carry over the edge of the lake onto a large, wide fairway. As the hole doglegs to the left, there is a temptation to drive along the left side of the fairway. Go too far left, and the driving range is out of bounds, otherwise there is a well placed bunker to collect the drive. Of course, go too far right and there is some water in play, but the sensible shot down the middle opens up the hole.

Having avoided the water, bunker and the OB, your second shot will no doubt leave you a decision - go for the green or lay up. The green is elevated, making it a longer shot than it seems. A couple of tall trees extending out from the left side of the fairway will also block attempts to get on in 2. The sensible play is past the trees to leave an easy uphill approach shot.
Avoid the trees, and you will be left with an uphill approach. The green is guarded by bunkers, but they should only collect the most wayward of shots, so while the shot might be blind, the green isn't difficult to hold.

The green slopes gently back towards the fairway, but isn't the hardest green to read when you are on it. Long hitters will definitely be looking for a birdie on this pleasing and relatively short par 5 opening hole.
