The 8th is another par 4. On this par 4, the fairway slopes from right to left. The tee shot needs to carry some gorse bushes, but they shouldn't really come into play, making the fairway quite reasonable to hit.
The hole can come alive on the second shot, particularly with a tee position on the right of the green! The green is elevated, with a steep slope to the river behind the green (you really don't want to go over the green!). In front of the green there is a gentle slope on the left side, and a steep bank on the right. If you go for the flag, but end up short, you can leave yourself a big problem. Play to the left side of the green and you might well be left with a long uphill putt as the narrow green slopes down to the left.
