The 1st at Maejo is a nice opening hole to get into the swing of the round. The fairway goes to the right of the big tree, but there is plenty of space either side of it for a safe shot. There is water, but it is only there to collect very long drives, shots that go well right. The OB down the left hand side similarly only collect shots that go well left.

The approach needs to take the bunker to the front left of the green into account. If your tee shot was too far left, you may have to go over it to a blind green. Beyond the green there are some bushes, and eventually OB.

On the green, there are a number of gentle breaks depending on the pin position. The front falls away back to the fairway, and the back falls away to the left as well.
