Chiangmai Lamphun is one of the mature courses in the Chiangmai region. Nested in a valley to the east of the city, the course is truly a world class course - and has been recognised as such by hosting several major tournaments including the SEA games (1995). Several testing, narrow fairways are lined by fully grown trees creating challenge while leaving you in a peaceful natural setting. Cleverly placed water hazards makes club selection more than just a 'drive and pitch'. The signature hole is the impressive 9th, doglegging back towards the clubhouse, with a 100 yrd second shot over water to a sloping green.
Features
Chiangmai Lumphun golf course is one of the older courses in the region. A half hour journey from the city centre takes you to a peaceful valley where the course is laid out. The beautiful 9th hole stands out from the clubhouse with its challenging approach shot. The rest of the course plays along the valley. The designers placed water hazards cleverly to force players to adapt their game. The par 3 15th stands out with a near blind up hill tee shot, over 2 small lakes navigating past the bunker that protects the green.
