Location
Fondcome Village is situated along the Sameong road, which runs through the mountains in a circle around the back of Doi Suthep. Fondcome Village is very convenient to access being around 15-20 minutes drive from Chiang Mai International Airport - given how close it is to the city centre, you'll be surprised by just how peacefully remote the boutique resort hotel is. Travel from Hang Dong in the direction of Sameong and 3km after the canal road you'll find Fondcome Village on the right hand side. Fondcome Village offer a very reasonable airport transfer service for visitors.

Facilities
Secluded in the mountains by the side of a small river, the best thing about Fondcome Village is the peaceful relaxation it affords visitors. There is a beautiful natural swimming pool for you to laze beside, which is fed by a decorative waterfall. Alternatively relax for a massage in one of the spas. Feeling more active? You can rent a bike and head off into the mountains on your own steam. The restaurant serves a variety of dishes and is rapidly gaining a reputation for its quality food.

Rooms
Perhaps the most noticeable feature of the village is the different types of villa available to stay in - from the moment you arrive you'll be treated to a wide array of architectural styles. Each room or villa has its own history and style, and with luck the owner will be available to explain the significance where you are staying. Most of the rooms tell a story from Chiang Mai's past, with rooms resembling caves and a missionary cabin amongst others. Other rooms represent certain local tribes or ethnic groups from the hills around Chiang Mai and beyond. Unique is a very apt word for Fondcome Village.
